Photo Safari Lanzarote (PSL) will provide educational and creative enrichment for Photo Vacations Lanzarote and has qualified professional guides, instructors and tour agency to organize and administer PSL Photo Vacations and Photo Weekends accommodations. The designated tour agency, in turn, acts only as an agent for the hotel or other accommodation.
Photo Safari Lanzarote shall not be held liable for (A) any damage to, or loss of, property or injury to, or death of persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any other provider, including but not limited to any defect in any aircraft, watercraft, or vehicle operated or provided by such other provider; and (B) any loss or damage due to delay, cancellation, or disruption in any manner caused by the laws, regulations, acts or failures to act, demands, orders, or interpositions of any government or any subdivision or agent thereof, or by acts of God, strikes, fire, flood, war, rebellion, terrorism, insurrection, sickness, quarantine, epidemics, theft, or any other cause(s) beyond their control. The participant waives any claim against Photo Safari Lanzarote and/or its designated tour operator and tour administrator for any such loss, damage, injury, or death.
By registering for a PSL Photo Vacations, the participant certifies that he/she does not have any mental, physical, or other condition or disability that would create a hazard for him/herself or other participants; and they are aware of any associated risks created by field locations, activities and weather; that they agree to follow the instructors’ directions, particularly in matters of personal and group safety.
Photo Safari Lanzarote reserve the right in their sole discretion to accept, decline to accept, or remove any participant on a PSL Photo Vacations. Photo Safari Lanzarote reserve the right, without penalty, to make changes in the published itinerary whenever, in their judgment, conditions warrant or if they deem it necessary for the comfort, convenience, or safety of participants.
Neither Photo Safari Lanzarote, nor its tour agency shall be liable for any air or other kind carrier’s cancellation penalty incurred by the purchase of a nonrefundable ticket to or from the participant’s PSL Photo Vacations departure city. Baggage and personal effects are at all times the sole responsibility of the participant. Eligibility: Participants in a PSL Photo Vacations must be 18 or over. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire journey. Included in Tour Cost: Accommodation (breakfast incl.); pre-departure information; ground transportation during and only for the purposes of the tour; transfers to and from flights; services of Photo Safari Lanzarote experts, guides, tour manager, and any other staff.
Not Included: International travel, air or ferry transportation and related fees; meals – lunch, dinner, snacs, drinks, alcoholic beverages; any optional excursions the participants may choose to book on their own; passport and visa expenses; travel/ equipment/baggage/accident/cancellation/ personal injury/health insurance; personal expenses, such as laundry, telephone calls; and any other items not specifically noted as included.
Accommodations: Photo Safari Lanzarote reserves the right to change accommodations based on our final attendance count, pricing and other factors that might influence our decision. We typically stay in hotels in the 3 or 4-star category. Basis of Rates: All prices are based on two people sharing a room. The rates are based on current tariffs and are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. We will notified the participants when a suitable roommate is not available. I this case we will find another appropriate accomodation.
Single/Shared Accommodations: A limited number of single rooms are available at an extra cost on a first-come, first-served basis. We will assist persons requesting a roommate or single room. Participants will be notified if a suitable roommate is not available, in which case the single rate will be charged. Early Arrival and Late Departure Accommodations: We offer our guests the convenience of booking early arrival and late departure hotel rooms. We base the price of these accommodations on an average amount we expect to pay for the hotel room in any of the hotels we may consider using. We highly recommend that our guests reserve early arrival or late departure rooms through PSL for their own convenience and the convenience of the group.
Payments, Cancellations and Refunds: To reserve space on a PSL Photo Vacations a full payment is required no later than 60 days prior to departure. The payment may be made by Bank transfer or PayPal. All cancellation notices must be sent in writing and will become effective as of the date of the sending (e-mail). If you cancel 60 days or more prior to departure, will be fully refunded. If you cancel your participation less than 60 days prior to departure (Cancellation Penalty Period ) you will not be refunded unless a participant to replace you is found before the start of the tour.
This policy also applies to early arrival rooms and late departure rooms. Any airline or other travel tickets issued are subject to the carrier’s refund policy. Leaving a tour in progress, for any reason whatsoever, will not result in a refund, and no refunds will be made for any unused portions of a tour.
If a tour is cancelled by PSL after the booking deadline confirmation has been sent and prior to departure, we shall provide you a full refund of the amounts paid to PSL, except if the cancellation is due to a significant event or Force Majeure that makes it infeasible to execute the tours as planned such as natural disaster, war or another state of emergency.
Force Majeure: Photo Safari Lanzarote will not be liable for any delay in, change to or cancellation of trips due to ‘Force Majeure’. ‘Force Majeure’ means a circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Photo Safari Lanzarote and includes, but is not limited to, war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, disease, industrial or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and strikes.
We reserve the right to cancel any trip because of inadequate enrollment that makes the trip economically infeasible to operate or because of good-faith concerns with respect to the safety, health, or welfare of the participants. We will not be responsible for any refund for nonrefundable airline tickets or for any airline or other travel tickets purchased by the passenger directly from an airline or travel agent.
All refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days. We strongly suggest travel insurance to protect your investment. Weather: We reserve the right to cancel, reschedule or re-route a PSL Photo Vacations tour up until last minute, due to inclement or unsafe weather conditions, safety or other uncontrollable circumstances. Travel Insurance: Photo Safari Lanzarote strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance that protects you and your investment in the event of a sudden emergency before or during your trip and coverage for trip cancellation, interruption or reschedule; illness, injury and damage, loss or theft of equipment/baggage, as well as emergency assistance.
Itineraries: The itineraries presented on this website are subject to modification and change by Photo Safari Lanzarote or its designated tour operator. Every reasonable effort will be made to operate programs as planned, but alterations may still occur after final itineraries are sent. Photo Safari Lanzarote makes every attempt to provide photographic opportunities during the best possible light, but this is often compromised by daily itineraries and travel schedules. Since the best light is just after sunrise and just before sunset when the sun is low, it is impossible to visit all locations during these limited hours. Photo Safari Lanzarote makes every attempt to instruct throughout the tour. It is important that you arrive with a working knowledge of your camera´s settings. Instructions are conducted on site using walk-n-talk techniques. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and seek out your leader when you need help.
Health Requirements: You must be in good physical and mental health. You must be able to maintain the pace of the group throughout the tour. Any physical condition, diet, or treatment requiring special attention must be reported in writing when you register. Failure to participate in daily activities due to physical or mental health or any other reason, will not be motive to any refund.
Photography: We reserve the right to take photographs or videos during the operation of any tour or part thereof and to use the resulting photography, videos, or recordings for promotional or commercial use. By making a reservation on a PSL Photo Vacations Tour, the participant agrees to allow his/her likeness to be used by Photo Safari Lanzarote, without compensation to the participant. If the participant prefers that his/her likeness not be used, he/she must notify us in writing prior to departure of the trip. Copyright in all photographs, video, and related materials created by the participant (“tour Materials”) shall belong to the participant upon creation. The participant grants to Photo Safari Lanzarote a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable license to use any tour Materials provided to Photo Safari Lanzarote in any media for the following limited purposes: editorial use, promotion of this editorial use, promotion of Photo Safari Lanzarote travel programs, or promotion of the mission of Photo Safari Lanzarote.
Dispute Resolution: If the participant has a complaint, he/she should first inform the Photo Safari leader or tour operator while on the tour so that the leader or tour operator can attempt to rectify the matter. If the participant is still dissatisfied, he/she should submit the complaint in writing to Photo Safari Lanzarote within 30 days of the completion of the Photo Vacations. Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement, website, brochures, or any other literature concerning this tour, or the breach thereof, will be governed by Spanish law. The parties agree that they will attempt in good faith to settle any and all disputes arising out of, under or in connection with this Agreement, including without limitation the validity, interpretation, performance and breach hereof. The maximum amount of recovery to which a participant will be entitled under any and all circumstances will be the published cost of the participant’s tour with Photo Safari Lanzarote.
Photo Safari Lanzarote declare that our offer, all our services and liabilities are limited to the Lanzarote area only and start from the first day on the PSL Photo Vacations and end on the last day of departure. PSL shall not be liable to anything under other country´s law. Other: Other Terms and Conditions may apply to some tours and will be provided with pre-trip emails or mailings. By registering for a PSL Photo, the participant agrees to the Responsibility statement and the Terms and Conditions herein.
